Hemamalini was born on 20 may 1969 as the daughter of Korappathu Venugopalamenon and Santha. She is a postgraduate in Malayalam literature. She works as a teacher in Vimala College, Trichur since 1997.
Her published work is titled as Aparabhashyangal (Other interpretations) in 2005.
Hemamalini’s book "Aparabhasgyangal" is a philosophical study about the age old tortures women had to bear. The chapter titled "Paristhithi sthreevadam" (Eco feminism) is included in this book. Ecofeminism is a practical approach born out of the realization that offenses against women and nature are related and it calls for a social change.”The men and nature are intricately bonded. Yet in a male centric society, nature and women are exploited alike. Eco feminism entertains various viewpoints. Still all types of ecofeminism stem out of the understanding that exploitation of women and nature are related. The waves of feminism originally raised voice against the domination among the male female couples.

B. Hrydayakumari was born in September 1930.She is the daughter of the great poet and freedom fighter Bodheswaran and V. K. Karthiyayani and the sister of the great poetess Sugathakumari. She studied in Cotton Hill School, Women’s College and University College. She is a post graduate in English literature. Hrydayakumari was an English lecturer in University College and Women’s college, Trivandrum. She retired in 1986 as the principal of Women’s College. She has published several literary studies as well as articles on education and socially relevant subjects. She has also done translations both in English and Malayalam.
Hrydayakumari’s important published works are Kalpanikata (Romanticism), Ormakalile Vasantam (spring in the memories) and Navothanam Angalasamoohathil (Renaissance in English society).
The book Romanticism had received Sophia Award and Kerala Sahithya Academy Award. Her book Renaissance in English society received R. Sankanarayanan Thampy Award in 2004.She was also the recipient of Disa Green Globe Award and Gupthan Nair Award.
