Born on August 21st 1924 as the daughter of Kochaippu at Chengalavu in Kottayam Mangat Family. She works actively in the social and cultural circles. “Kalavara” (1999) and “Naattarivum Grihachikilsayum” are her published works. “Naattarivum Grihachikilsayum” which is a scientific and health document is included here. Such a book is very relevant in these times when illness and disease spread all over the society. She deals with diseases and the things you have to take care of during the times of illness. She speaks about traditional country treatment aids. People who are interested in knowing about the illness and their peculiar traits can use this book very fruitfully.
Born in Kadambanadu, Pathanamthitta. After doing her degree and B.Ed in Kerala University, she went to USA and did Masters in Education and Chemical Engineering. She worked asa teacher at Nilagiri Stanes High School and Kadambanadu High School. After that, she worked at the Department of Public Works, Nassau County as an Engineer.
She has to her credit six poetry collections, Translation of "Gitanjali", short stories and essays. She was honoured with many awards including, Focana Award (94, 96, 98), Nalappattu Narayana Menon Award
