One can see a close observance of nature and environment in the poems of Chaitra. Chaitra has also written stories which are readable and remarkable. “Valvazhi” (Tail Road) is a poem which indicates how the road to the school has vanished. The poet tells that the road to the school was uprooted by the Tamilians. When they dig out the road for implanting the telephone wire, much obstacle is caused. The poet also sees in her vision how Krishnettan’s Telephone wire pierces all other roads and extends like a tail. She also wishes to dig her own land so that like digging out the grave, she can see
And father and mother
Who were buried
With a heap of sand above them!
This is a great idea though small.
