Born in Trivandrum in 1974 as the daughter of Ramachandran nair and Sulochana. She has taken her P. G. in Economics. Works in a private institution. “Mowna Mozhikal” (Silent Words) is her published work. The poem “Hridayathinte Bhasha” (The Language of the Heart) from the above collection is included here. “Hrydayathinte Bhasha” is a poem written in the memeory of poet A. Ayyappan. Here, Lekha shares her love and respect to the poet who had died long back after imparting secrets to those who carry his coffin. Poet Ayyappan’ss uniqueness is his clarity of style which reminds one of a clean stream and thoughts uncoloured by emotions that come form the core of the heart. The poet salutes this language of the heart. His poems are signatures of a writhing heart. She also points out the paradox between the callous negligence and insults the poet faced during his life and the formalities of mourning after his death.
